FAQs and Resources
How long and how frequent are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes and the frequency will be determined after our first appointment. I also offer 100 minute couples or family sessions.
How long will I be in counseling?
My goal is to empower clients to eventually not “need me.” Some clients continue counseling for support throughout their lives and some to work through challenges and then stop. I have worked with many individuals in a family at different developmental stages. We will regularly check in regarding goals, progress and homework in between sessions.
How much does counseling cost?
My fee is $190 per session for individuals and $210 for couple or family sessions. Fees are due at the time of service. I do not take insurance but you will have access on your secure client portal to a receipt to submit to insurance for partial or full reimbursement.
Do you see clients for premarital/partner counseling?
Yes, I enjoy working with couples to build strength and resilience, address concerns and create positive communication.
How does counseling work?
Counseling works well when the relationship between client and therapist is based on trust and unconditional positive regard. Therapy is a collaborative experience. I help create a safe place to contain and hold my clients feelings and emotions in order to facilitate change and healing. Many clients are working through a family issue, struggling with anxiety, depression or developing their authentic self.
